It took me three tries to get to this page... Actually, I got here on my fourth try so it took me four clicks but I am here. NYS global regents exam today. Easy as pie. Not worried about my score at all. Not at all. Eleven days until music camp. And I cannot wait until then. It means two weeks of just music. Which is music to my ears. Stupid thing... But it feels so good to know I am going to spend two weeks at a music camp. Not band camp. Music camp. I don't know what to write today but suddenly I feel bad when I do not write in here. It took two days of writing in a row to make me feel guilty. I will just blab about next year... Next year's academic schedule is a little busy for me. On my plate I definitely have: *AP American history *AP physics *AP English literature *Math 4 honors *French 4 honors *band (woo... so hard) *gym (another no-brainer) *journalism (independent study) *Music Plan A (independent study) And I might have... *psychology *child psych I remember what I wanted to talk about when I came here to write. So earlier today I was reading through a little book on winners of some community service award from this year. I was looking at the projects they started and the programs which they created. One girl started something she called "Trees for Tots." Through this program, Christmas trees and trimmings were donated to low-income families. No I was thinking... My church donates food for a Christmas dinner to families who can not afford it. But what if the Community Service Club (for a possible November-December project) "adopts" a family and on Thanksgiving provides them with a meal and on Christmas we would provide them with a meal, Christmas tree/decorations, and some gifts. I think that would be fun and I know that our current members would enjoy it. We're also going to collect funds for a child for the Make-A-Wish Foundation to make their wish come true. I want to continue the National School Supply Drive... There are a lot of things I want to do and a lot of places I want to go with this club. Another idea I got was to have members participate in the Big Brother/Big Sister program, which is something I have always wanted to do. It sounds like so much fun and there is a BB/BS office in the relative area (I don't know if it is i the immediate area, but I know it is in my county). And then I also want the musically talented members to provide free lessons for elementary school students who can't afford them. This was another idea I got from that booklet. But those are my goals and I have two years to fulfill them. I hope I get to do everything I am really passionate about and then some. But between Yon and I, I think that we can continue the projects started by Pam and Dora and then do our own on top of it. Yon and I actually make a really good team... We understand each other and communicate in such a strange way and then we get things done. We are capable of getting things done and both of us really love community service. I absolutely enjoy doing any volunteer work. I like knowing that what I am doing is going to touch the life of someone else and make them smile. It's one of those things that makes me happy. It's one of those things that satisfies me. I'm so excited about becoming community service club co-President. It's definitely a good place for me. Because I also love leadership positions. Go me. (: Enough about community service. Onto leaving this place and doing something else. Goodnight to all... I love Joshua.
