back for a bit

"it hit me like a bolt of lightning"

I received quite the reality shock last night when I was doing my ritual scholarship searches.

I'm a left-handed dork who wants to get the left-handed scholarships.

There is only one scholarship for left-handed people. And it is for lefties who are attending Juanita College and it has some academic qualifications you have to meet in addition to being a lefty. And it's for $1000 each year.

That was my reality shock. I can't get the left-handed scholoarship.

Time to find another odd-ball scholarship to pin my dreams upon. Maybe one for blonds like me. I can imagine the essay question: "Write about the stupidest thing you have ever said." But why would they limit to only one? I have so many. Go check out the blondisms since I did add a new one that is about three weeks old, but nevertheless stil funny.

I could still be asleep right now, but the phone rang at, like, 8-something and, thinking that I was the only one in the house after the phone rang twice, I got up and ran my butt off into the living room where I promptly fell on my backside trying to pick up the phone. Then... When I was going back to my room I notice that - lo and behold! - my siblings are home. And awake. And the phone is more accessible for them.

Therefore, I am awake and out here. And they are asleep and in there. Sometimes, I need a new life.

6 days until the two-and-a-half year anniversary of Chelsea and Joshua. :) To me, this is one of the most exciting things.

I'm sorry, but I am not going to be able to update at CTY because we're not allowed to use the computers, unless it is for a class. And then they watch us to make sure we're doing our work and not going online. We can go online if we ask and are either (a) completely finished or (b) very very close to being completely finished with our work. So there will be a three week hiatus beginning on Sunday, July 20th. I apologize, once more.

If I do update, it will be in both here and dematcty.diaryland.com (life @ cty link). It will be the same entry. But, I do have the life at cty thing and I might as well use it. It has to be reactivated, though. Yeah, it got temporarily deleted since I don't use it all too much. Yeah. I used it five times at CTY and that's that.

My to-do list for today is:

1). Reactivate dematcty.
2). Finish completing the form for the National Honor Roll and mail it out. I have to get rid of one activity in the performing arts because I filled in one too many bubbles, and I have to list my other achievments. Yeah. I was recommended for induction into the National Honor Roll (which you might recognize as that book full of over-achieving students) which is contigent upon my biography sheets.
3). Finish my packing. Maybe. Ok, almost finish my CTY packing. Because I just want to be done with it and I don't want to be doing it Friday or Saturday.
4). Finish writing my letters. Either today or tomorrow.
5). Call my guidance counselor and figure out what is going on with next year's schedule. I need to see why I am getting this free period for half the year. And it is definitely a free period I don't want b/c when I have a free period, I tend to slack off and leave a lot of homework to do during the free period. And I usually leave more work than I can do. So it kind of helps me procrastinate. Because it just leaves that empty little block in the day. It's not good.

Alright, I'm leaving you here. Talk to everybody later.

I love Joshua.
