"she's so pretty"

Alright, hello everybody! I am back from CTY. It's the last time I will ever say that. *sniffle* CTY is over, yet my no more year really couldn't have been better. Alright, so I did have some problems, but you can not have a perfect no more year. It never happens.

Take Katie for example. She was kicked out three days before it all ended. That is really sad, but at least it was her no more year, otherwise she wouldn't have been able to come back.

But CTY was excellent this year. My class was amazing (Crafting of Fiction was my final course) and my hall was just the same (all thirteen of us were in Fic, so that was wonderful... There was a bond between all of us). I knew nine of the other girls in my hall, too. Laura and Erin and John were in my class, which was great.

Joshua's class kicked butt, his rommie was cool, his RA was Reuben, and that worked well, and the four girls in his class lived on the floor below me. So that was fun.

I was on Quad 6 again, no problems there. Except for our lounge. It was shut down a week into the progam thanks to Josh's class and maybe Chosh? I'm not sure... Definitely possible. But our lounge became known as the forbidden lounge... :)

And the RAs made jokes about it in their skit on Big Animated Saturday.

I'm surprised I am getting through this without bawling. It is really sad because I can only go back as a no more and that is sort of painful. Okay, very painful.

But the rest of the CTY memories will come later.

Alright, so when I came home I had 6 CDs waiting for me. 4 of them were the EUSMC stuff. Yeah, we ordered the CDs of all four concerts that I was in. But the other 2 CDs were cool pretty CDs. One was "Worldwide" by Audio Adrenaline. But that isn't the most exciting one. The most exciting one was Relient K's new CD. So off of their CD "Two Lefts Don't Make a Right... But Three Do" is "Mood Rings."

well they are time bombs and they are ticking
and the only question's when they'll blow up
and they'll blow up; we know that without a doubt
cause they're those girls, yeah you know those girls that let their emotions get the best of them

and i've contrived some sort of a plan to help my fellow man
let's get emotional girls to all wear mood rings
so we'll be tipped off to when they're ticked off
cause we'll know just what they're thinking
cause what they're thinking...

she's so pretty but she but doesn't always act that way
her mood's out swinging on the swing set almost every day
she said to me that she's so happy it's depressing
and all i said was "someone get that girl a mood ring"

if it's drama you want then look no further
they're like the real world meets boy meets world meets days of our lives
and it just kills me how they get away with murder
they'll anger you then bat their eyes; those pretty eyes that watch you sympathize

and i've contrived some sort of a plan to help my fellow man
let's get emotional girls to all wear mood rings
so we'll be tipped off to when they're ticked off
cause we'll know just what they're thinking
cause what they're thinking...

cause when it's black (it) means watch your back because you're probably
the last person in the world right now she wants to see
and when it's blue it means that you should call her up immediately
and ask her out because she'll most likely agree
and when it's green it simply means that she is really stressed
and when it's clear it means she's completely emotionless (and that's all right i must confess)

we all know the girls that i am talking about
she liked you wednesday but now it's friday and she has to wash her hair
and it just figures that we'll never figure them out
first she's jekyll and then she's hyde....at least she makes a lovely pair

mood ring oh mood ring
oh tell me will you bring
the key to unlock this mystery
of girls and their emotions
play it back in slow motion
so i may understand the complex infrastructure known as the female mind

heh...that's terrible

That song has inspired me to get a mood ring. So that Joshua has something to go by when I don't tell him how I feel. Which means that the next time I go to the mall or some grocery store I have to get a mood ring, probably from one of those little put-a-quarter-in-and-twist machines. And then the ring comes out in one of those see-through balls (oh, wondrous image).

I love Joshua.
