stealing this from my ujournal entry... i guess i will just give you quick opinions of all my classes... period one (study) yay. four other people in the big lecture hall with sixty desks. one is a girl who i don't like but can't remember her name. two are mary and melissa... don't like them and haven't for years. one is a new girl from yonkers (or as she says yonkas)... it's cool though. i think i will just save chem or french work til that morning. or global. i don't know. period two (french) ok... je n'aime pas mon prof, mme knoblich. (i don't like my teacher, mrs. knoblich.) she seems strict. and she just doesn't seem like she is going to make french class fun. mr. pregiato (last year's teacher) made french so much fun because he connected with us and adapted to everyone's seperate needs and... he was just a lot of fun to learn from. period three (math) ok i do not like ms. goc either. neither does yon. yon didn't like her since before school started. she just isn't one of those cool teachers either... i want mrs. dillon back! even she is better than ms. goc. period four (a-day study) ok since the first day is an a-day, i had study hall in the same lecture room as i did for first period study. luckily, because i do not have a lunch period, i get to go to lunch if my study teacher and mr. saliano are in good moods. i got to have fries and cheese today. it's so wonderful! period five (chem) mr. trongone kicks butt! he is so great. when class started he said, "welcome to room three-seventeen, on the third floor of panas, even though i have not know us to ever have a third floor..." and then he sad that if we were bad and disipline didn't work, he would blow us up. he's great. chem is going to be a lot of fun. i have been looking forward to this class since before even entering high school... yeah ever since taking earth science. period six (english) can't make any comments on mr. silver yet simply because, well, guess what? he was absent today. i don't know why he missed the first day. i wonder if he does it every first day of school. anywho so we had a substitute and we were so horrible to her. someone in the back had a cell phone and they made a noise like the bell because they wanted to get out of class twenty minutes early. they tried it five different times. supposedly we were the most direspectful class, except for some young ladies in the front (and she waved her hand in my direction. oh what a good girl i am. *cough* *cough*) period seven (global) mr. wax sucks. he is the most strict global teacher in the school. and nobody likes him. his defintion of on time is: "in your seat with your notebook open ready to work BEFORE the bell rings. anything else is defined as LATE and will be marked accordingly and will result in a detention that day." Here's another portion of his little requirements sheet... "If I am talking, you are not. If one of your peers is talking, you are listening. You will raise your hand and be recognized before you speak." And if something happens and we cut class or miss homework or not hand in a project... his policy is "TBSSSTBY." Translated that is: Too Bad So Sad Sucks To Be You. period eight (band) i look forward to this class. this year we are being ranked and mr. randolph expects me to be one of the principle flutists. and there is no doubt that i will be in symphony orchestra. i'm so excited. but among the high points of the day... yon and i met a girl named kathleen. she is in our english, chem, and global classes. she is really nice and is from new jersey. oh yeah. i have a new friend. wphs actually looks sort of new. no, most of the school looks very new. which is really scary considering that the school looked like crap when i left it last year. there are certain thing that just need finishing, like some final painting, the student center, and the patio/picnic tables by the cafeteria. which means that we are allowed to go out during lunch. (construction affected that prilvedge last year...) i am so mad... i don't think this school year is going to be really awesome even though yon and i have most of the same classes. ugh. mr. silver, ms. goc, mr. wax... mrs knoblich too... and they are all bad. i think i will go complain somewhere else and maybe come back. i love joshua. -chelsea
